We are changing to Bloom Hearing Specialists!

Around 18 months ago we became part of the Bloom network of hearing specialists. As this network has evolved and grown, we are now in the process of completely re-branding Ebor Hearing Healthcare to become Bloom Hearing Specialists.  

Over the next week or so our two branches in York and Scarborough will be having a makeover. We are painting the interiors and having new carpets fitted, as well as some new furniture. More importantly though, the sign above the door will change to read Bloom Hearing Specialists. So what will this change mean to our customers? Absolutely nothing! Other than a new name and a new look, you will still see the same members of staff. I remain our hearing aid audiologist and Lorraine in York and Janet in Scarborough will continue to greet you in the same friendly and courteous manner as always. We'll deliver the same high level of service our customers have become used to, still fitting the latest in hearing technology with a comprehensive aftercare plan to ensure you get the very best out of your hearing instruments. We are very proud of the history of Ebor Hearing Healthcare and the reputation we have established in Yorkshire to become one of the most relied upon hearing care providers in the area. We will carry that with us now as Bloom Hearing Specialists. Please do come and visit our smarter, new look branches, and find out more about how we can help improve your hearing ability.

Christmas opening hours 2012

We will be closing our branches on Christmas Eve at 1pm and will reopen on Thursday 27th December. Appointments will be available in Scarbrough on this day, or in York on Friday 28th. We are then open on New Years Eve until 1pm and reopen on Wednesday 2nd January in York and Thursday 3rd in Scarborough.

Wireless Open Days

This week we are holding two exciting open days where we are showcasing the latest in wireless hearing aid accessories. Come along and find out how watching television and conversing on the telephone can be made so much easier by utilising wireless devices to hear the sound clearly straight into your hearing aids. We will have interactive and hands on demonstrations to show you just how easy these devices are to use.

We will also have on display our range of amplified phones for the hearing impaired and you will be able to try these out to see just how much louder and clearer than regular phones they are.

Come into our York shop on Friday 30th September, or our Scarborough shop on Thursday 29th September to see for yourself how much difference we can make to your hearing ability, particularly when watching television or talking on the phone. Discounted prices will be available on the day.

FREE Disposable Ear Plugs

If you are heading to the Galtres Festival at Crayke near York between 26th-28th August you will be able to pick up a FREE pair of disposable earplugs to help protect your hearing from the amazing bands that will be playing over the weekend. The headliners are British Sea Power, The Levellers and my personal favourites The Charlatans!

To coincide with the launch of the full range of Widex Clear Fusion hearing aids, we are holding open days next week. On Tuesday 21st June in the Scarborough branch and Friday 24th June in the York branch between 9:30am and 4:30pm we will be on hand to offer information on how these new hearing aids can help improve your quality of life by using the latest technology with wireless accessories to stream sound from TVs, mobile phones etc. straight into your ears delivering a clear sound quality. Tinnitus Awareness Week 2011 - Free Tinnitus Workshop

For the third year running we will be hosting FREE tinnitus workshops at our shop in Walmgate, York on Wednesday 9th February. This event is part of the British Tinnitus Association's Tinnitus Awareness Week 2011. The workshops will be a chance to get together with fellow sufferers and share experiences and ask any questions you may have. We also have a video presentation on the condition from Dr. Robert Sweetow, Director of Audiology at the University of California in San Francisco. Dr. Sweetow is a leading expert in the field and he is able to explain Tinnitus in a very straightforward manner. He also reports on findings from the latest research regarding the positive effect that Zen tones can have on tinnitus. The workshops usually get booked up so please ring 01904 626623 to book a place. We will have tea and coffee available and also some leaflets you will be able to take home with you. There are two workshops, one at 5:30-6:30pm and the second at 7-8pm.

New Year Sale + VAT Freeze

We are currently holding a New Year Sale on all our stock hearing aids. We have a limited stock of mini-BTE and RIC ex-demo aids that we are offering with a 25% discount!
